Transportation - Student Busing

Our student transportation is provided by First Student Transportation. Their office is located at 153 Burke Street, Nashua, NH. Their office phone number is 886-7966. They work diligently over the summer months to set-up routes based on each of our students’ home address.

bus 2011-2012 Bus Schedule

Bus Tickets

Elementary students do not need a bus ticket. A list of bus stop locations and pick-up times will be posted at each school in late August and published in a local newspaper. It is the parent responsibility to determine the students’ bus number.

Bus Route or Bus Stop Questions

Questions or concerns with bus routes and bus stops are best answered by calling First Student Transportation. Please wait until after routes have been posted. Their phone number is: 886-7966.

Bus Safety

Bus safety and rules are discussed with students during the first few days of school. A list of safe-riding-rules is posted at the front of each bus. All students are expected to stay in their seats while the bus is in motion. Students may be assigned specific seats by the bus driver.

Can my child switch buses?

No - Students may only ride the bus assigned to the home address. The First Student Transportation Division Manager may grant a request for Alternative Transportation for childcare purposes only on a long-term basis (minimum of two weeks). The agreement must be for every school day and only to a currently approved bus stop within the Litchfield School District.

Applications for Alternative Transportation may be obtained by sending a written note requesting one (along with a self-addressed stamped envelope) to: First Student Transportation, 153 Burke Street, Nashua, NH 03060 or at the School office. Forms must be returned directly to First Student Transportation. Requests received by August 1st will be given primary consideration if circumstances allow for the possibility of transportation alternatives. In instances where the bus is at capacity, the request will be denied.
