Curriculum objectives in the Visual Arts grades 1 – 4 are designed sequentially and will allow students to:

· explore a variety of media, techniques, and processes when making art
· learn to use art materials and tools in a safe and appropriate manner
· develop their own creative abilities and craftsmanship while applying the elements and principles of design
· make connections with other disciplines, history, culture, and daily life
